Dead battery after a week of sitting

The battery of my 2023 Z71 is completely dead after not using it for just a week! We went on a holiday and it wouldn't start right up. It's our daily driver and we take it occasionally on the trails so it was our first time leaving it at home for a long while but I wouldn't even say a week was long enough for the battery to discharge. Anyone else had similar issues?

That's really frustrating! Losing a battery in just a week is definitely not normal for a 2023 Z71. Have you thought about checking for any parasitic drain? Sometimes, things like software updates or background systems can be sneaky culprits, like the power seat memory or that tailgate release. They can drain the battery without you even realizing it.

Since your truck is still under warranty, I'd recommend getting the dealer to run a diagnostic check. And by the way, did you happen to see any warning lights or notice anything unusual before the battery died?

If your battery is draining too fast, a module might not be sleeping as it should. A parasitic current draw test would be useful to check it out
