The Ford vs. Chevy rivalry is still going strong. I just came across a pretty clear comparison of their engines from GM Authority, showing the stats side by side. I think many people here probably lean towards Chevy.

I ended up choosing the 2025 Chevy ZR2 after looking at the Ford Ranger and Ranger Raptor. For me, the 2.7L I4's torque and simpler setup made it a better choice than the EcoBoost 2.7 V6.

What's your take? Which engine do you like more and why?

Personally I'd go with the 2.7L I4. Good torque, simpler setup, and easier to maintain, which makes it great for my off roading and daily .

I'm with you on the 2.7L I4 in the ZR2, tons of low end torque and fewer moving parts than the twin turbo V6 and the EcoBoost is quick, no doubt, but I've seen others run into more cooling and tuning quirks with it....yunno simpler sometimes wins.

Honestly, the Chevy 2.7L I4 beats the Ford EcoBoost 2.7 V6...simpler, torquier, and more reliable. All that tech in the Ford doesn't make up for a smoother, more practical drive
