Reverse tilt mirror acting up

The reverse tilt mirror feature on my 2023 Chevy Colorado Trailboss has been acting up. I thought I'd ignore but it became frustrating when I got into some problem maneuvering off-road. I'm thinking this is beyond a software glitch. Anyone encountered something similar? What should I be looking into to get this fix? Hopefully not a trip to the dealer!

It could be a bad memory seat module messing with the mirror. You could try a battery reset first before heading to the dealer just in case it's a minor software issue or something.

I've seen a similar issue on a different Chevy model and it was because of a faulty mirror actuator.
I wouldn't rule out @Clear Rivers's suggestion.
I'd check for any obvious obstructions around the mirror and try manually adjusting it in all directions with the the adjustment knob a few times if that resets the position.
If that doesn't work, it's likely something more involved that might require opening up the door panel to inspect the wiring and actuator.
A good automotive electrician might be able to help without the dealership's high costs if you're comfortable with that.
